| I had my Lasik done in Montreal in 2001 because they already had wavefront. This article makes it sound like magic, but its been around for about a decade. It has the same risks as regular Lasik, and I needed to have mine done twice in each eye (first time didnt correct enough) and had a minor crease in the flap of my cornea after the second surgery which could have caused some permanent vision problems but luckily did not.7 years after I had it done I got a minor prescription for eyeglasses to correct some returning nearsightedness. Its also important to remember that the x/x scale is not the last word in the quality of your vision, especially when it comes to post-Lasik vision. When I discovered I needed corrective lenses I still read the chart at 20/20, although it was blurry.I am glad I had Lasik done though, I was very nearsighted and could not read the alarm clock in the morning. I also don't *need* to wear my glasses. |

Well, we are in the first years of the 21st century and aging research is really starting to get up to speed, in fact, the first textbook on the cutting edge aging research is going to be published by Springer in May 4 of 2010, it's called "The future of aging, Pathways to Human Life Extension"...it's a bit pricey at $200 US, but all medical books are anyway these days.http://www.springer.com/biomed/book/978-90-481-399 ...Ray Kurzweil and Aubre de Grey (of the Mprize/SENS) are featured. Aubre is a researcher who established the Mprize and the SENS foundation (both charitable scientific foundations) that support university researchers and up-and-coming researchers in aging research.www.mprize.orgwww.sens.orgAubre says that with about 2 billion and 10 years we will be able to reverse aging in a mouse model and that humans shortly after that. In the US we spend about 200 billion per year, using 20th century tech to help people to die....why not develop and harness the latest biotech/nanotech/stem cells and fix the processes that lead to aging when you hit your later years. After all, Ray Kursweil really sums it up by saying we need to update the software DNA code in our cells to cure aging....think about that, 30 years ago, if I said that, people would not understand what the concept of software was, now we have generations of people who can thing in very complex, structured was and can understand complex information processing systems like computers, networked computers, cells, networked cells (in the body). Our computers can't yet build and repair themselves, with advanced nanotech, they will be able to do so....our cells in our bodies can, and we can use that example tech to model the mathematical models we will need to fully understand and modify/construct new computer/DNA systems to repair our cells from the inside out. Just a single B2 bomber costs 2 billion dollars, there is no financial excuse now not to support such a aging research program, if not the US, then lots of other advanced countries could pool their resources, even 1 or more billionaires today could fund such a program (and make it tax-deductable (www.mprize.org anyone?))..
Heres the footage http://www.torrentreactor.net/torrents/3512450/Mod ...I got really pissed at activisions censorship when I went lookin for it the other day so spread this everywhere. The quality is really *****, fair warning.!

you don't say.....you sir are a moron, but thanks for playing!?
Actually it doesn't require an HMD. We have wrapped our ODT in a CAVE display and so has the Army Research Lab, although insurance says that we still have to wear a bike helmet. |

The ideal solution is a physical router, with the ports you need forwarded to your PC. If you have that, you can (and should) disable stupid software firewalls.

It's basically a cell phone with specialized software and no screen. With the right software, any cellphone should be able to share it's internet like this. (Usually through bluetooth tethering/DUN, but I don't see why it couldn't be done with wifi as well.)So they have a product that does something my cellphone can already do. What's it's purpose?

Likewise, then of course, McCarver runs them into the ground by finding ways to make them boring. |
